This year we will be changing how we communicate so we can improve our communication. We will be using WhatsApp for our group text messaging about fundraisers, youth group activities, cancellations, etc.
The benefits of moving to this app are:
1. Pastor Andrea will be able to receive your texts on her phone rather than her computer only.
2. Anyone in the group will be able to send out messages to the group to ask clarifying questions or to coordinate youth group details.
3. The app is free - so we will be saving money.
4. We will not be limited to 128 characters in the messages. With WhatsApp we can send messages up to 4096, although we don't plan to use them all.

Love in action Small Group
|
This is how we know what love is: |
Our theme for the 2017-2018 school year, is "Love is a Verb." Drawing on the theme from the Mennonite Church USA Convention this summer in Orlando, our small groups will be studying 1 John. Together we will be discussing what it means to reflect God's love in our local context. One of our small groups each month will be dedicated to finding creative ways to share God's love with others.
In September one group helped congregation members celebrate their birthday with cookies and encouraging notes. The other three groups participated in Kindness Graffiti - using sidewalk chalk to leave messages on driveways and sidewalks to help encourage community members. Sneaking around town in the growing darkness to bless others was fun!
